Petsafe Newest Comfort Fit PIG00-10674 Deluxe Electric Dog Fence lets YOU design, lay out, and control the wire boundary. The wire acts like an antenna, picking up signals from the transmitter and sending them to your dog's receiver contained in the collar. When your dog approaches a boundary, it receives a warning signal (vibration). If he keeps going, and gets too close to the boundary, your dog receives a correction (static shock). Soon your dog will know the difference between "safe areas" and "out of bounds."
